My good friend, Neil Khor, recommended I visit a nyonya restaurant at New World. So, I invited another friend, Jessie Loh, an IT entrepreneur to tag along as my special guest for the food review.
The restaurant is hidden by some trees but it looked cosy and well decorated. We were greeted by a friendly outlet manager, Kristine. She sat us down and Kenneth Yip, the owner of the cafe helped us with the menu.
Kenneth helped us to order several dishes and its signature ‘asam/lemak’ laksa as well. Watch the video if you wanted to know how some of these dishes are prepared and about our review.
Kenneth’s parting words, “Penang should promote its unique baba nyonya culture and food”. I nodded with agreement.
Yes, I do agree with you about promoting nyonya food.
I was there in New World and caught hte video too. But I think the video are of all Penang Food, not only nyonya.
But you do agree we have lots of great food..ya!
yum yum
